Ron, I&#39;m pretty sure Lone Star is still very popular in Texas, and maybe Pearl too. I&#39;ve heard several Texan&#39;s talk about Lone Star as the only
beer they&#39;ll drink if they can get their hands on it.

Twodogs, I agree Sierra&#39;s Celebration is most excellent. I think it&#39;s the same recipe every year so far as I know(?).

I can remember 3.2 Budd at Fort Dix, and also some 3.2 local beer (whose name escapes me) that was brewed in Philly.  I&#39;ve got a story about beer in the
barracks that I&#39;ll relate at a later time.  Actually, I&#39;ve got a few of them, but in this one I was probably the luckiest trainee on Fort Dix!

			<description><![CDATA[ I just remembered something that, if not as bad as Vietnamese beer, is darn close to it....the 3.2% beer(?) sold in the beer halls on post when I was stationed
at Fort Hood in the early 60&#39;s. All that stuff did was to cause fights, give you a terrible headache, and make you pee a lot.  I think it was called

I just remember I always avoided buying booze at convenience stores because it never did anything for me.

			<description><![CDATA[ On Malta, there are a lot of British style pubs, owned and operated by retired Royal Navy men. All with Bass Ale on tap. At first I wasn&#39;t too impressed
with a room temperature pint, but after a few, they were pretty good...This thread also reminded me of what the Limey&#39;s call &quot;Tops&quot;. A draft beer
(San Miguel...this was in Hong Kong and Singapore) topped off with Lemon Squash ( concentrated lemon flavored drink base which is hopefully banned in this
